Stimulants

Of all the drugs that are available to people, it is clear that stimulants play a massive role in peoples lives. These drugs carry a major benefit in that they can make people more alert and aware. As with all forms of medication, stimulants can carry some side effects but the severity greatly differs. Stimulants can be found in prescription drugs and in over the counter medication. Some of these brands include Liquid Speed, Tweeker, Trip2night, Crank Powder, Red Zone capsules and Disco Powder.

It is true that illegal drugs such as cocaine or amphetamine are considered to be stimulants, it should be noted that there are also many safe drugs and medicines that are classed as stimulants. Just think how many people need a stimulating cup of coffee in the morning to get started? Similarly, many people are turning towards legal stimulants such as Liquid Speed to get started.

It is possible to become dependent on stimulants but if a person follows proper advice and guidelines they should be able to use the vast array of products without coming to much harm. No drug dependency is recommended and therefore care should be taken but certain products are safer than others.

Whilst products which are labeled as containing caffeine are perfectly safe, there is a danger with products which do not carry caffeine labels. It can be found in tea, pills, tablets, soft drink and some foods. All drug typed cause a level of dependency and if a user is unaware they are ingesting caffeine they may suffer withdrawal issues without realizing.

An excessive use of legal stimulants of products like Red Bull, Crank Powder or Red Zone can cause some issues, the greater dangers come from recreational drug use. Names like “uppers”, “speed” or “pep pills” make it obvious what the user is getting and the sense of energy is obvious from these substances. This is attractive to many users including students needing to study, nightshift workers needing to stay awake or constant party people.

The concern of stimulants comes when the buzz wears off and this is viewed as the “comedown.” This effect is less noticeable in legally bought products but users should be aware of the occurrence. This effect can quite often lead users to increasing their dosage to maintain the benefit they receive of the substance and this behavior is linked to creating a dependency.

As with many drugs, if someone has an addiction, there are signs to look out for. A person may suffer from fatigue, be unable to sleep, suffer irritability or depression. If you feel that any of your family or friends is showing these occurrences, it may be worth talking to them about their situation.
